Cuil to Rival Google for Search Engine Dominance

Cuil has launched its brand new search engine today after receiving 25m in funding back in April.

The California-based start-up is led by Irishman, Tom Costello, a computing graduate of Trinity College Dublin and his wife Anna Patterson, the president of Cuil and former Google employee.

Cuil’s new search engine is the first product to be seriously touted as representing plausible competition to Google.

Both Ask.com and Windows Live search received significant makeovers in the recent past in terms of both the look and the search technology behind the scenes but there has been no notable new rivals to the established reigning king of search, Google.

While the Jimmy Wales-backed Wikia Search was launched earlier this year, even the Wikipedia co-founder admitted it was in no way, shape or form a threat to Google.

Is Google Becoming Like Microsoft?

Google seems to be buying everything in its path today. Will we be stuck in the future with only options to go with a Google brand? Youtube for Video. Blogger for Blogs? and so on. Yes there are a lot of other options for the two I just mentioned but since Google Search is so dominant I can only imagine these google products will get priority. BlogRush Syndication Network

I just signed up for Blog Rush syndication netwrok last week. I am always looking and testing new ways to generate internet traffic. This is a product Created by John Reese of Traffic Secrets 2.0 which was just released. (BTW I am patiently waiting for it in the mail John) In a week of having the BLOGOSPHERE widget on my blog I have started to notice a trickle of traffic coming in from places I have never had before. Its not an overnight WHAM of traffic but as John explains in the video if your patient and execute the plan it will be worth it in the long run. I highly recommend watching his video. Top Ten Things I Think of When I Think of the 4th of July

10. The Beach - Its the beginning of July, most likely the hottest month. Time to hit the beach!

9. Hot Dogs, Burgers and Steak - There is nothing like enjoying a good BBQ. Weather it be with your family or friends.

8. Family Time - The forth of July is a great time to get together with your family. Weather you go boating, have a BBQ or watch the fireworks.

7. Road Trip - Usually I take a road trip with my family. We usually go somewhere where we can see the fireworks from up high.

6. Parade - Usually your town will have some sort of parade. I know this town I used to live in, Traverse City had an amazing parade every year that ran for about a week and it started on the 4th of July.

5. Red, White and Blue - The colors of the good old American flag.

4. Declaration of Independence - Well for this is the reason we have the holiday in the first place.

3. Sparklers - I though i'd give sparklers their own number because you cant have a 4th of July celebration without sparklers.

2. Fireworks - The second best part of the 4th of July is the amazing fireworks you get to watch! With all the different arrays and colors how could you not have an amazing experience.
