Trick #1. Taking years of the face: try a long exposure. Making sure that no part of the model’s face is in sharp focus, and that, in this instance, your model doesn’t have to sit or stand perfectly still. The blur of a slight movement disguises imperfections. Add a fan to blow the hair and see how natural the shot really looks.Trick #2. Photograph in white: allowing lots of exposure will make your model’s overall appearance smooth and pretty. Clothing acts as a natural reflector that helps fill in the shadows that reveal blemishes, scars, or dark circles.
Trick #3. The use of hair as a cover-up: models with not-so-smooth skin or large pores can be concealed making the hair super sharp. This automatically makes the skin look as if you used a soft focus filter.
Trick #4. Models with uneven brown skin or age spots: Using a a giant reflector that, when placed close by the model, blows out any imperfections of the skin. That combined with an angle shows just half the model’s face, and you’ve got a fabulous shot – no retouching required.
